Safety rules to be followed when sealing pipeline holes
Jan 08,2025

To ensure the safety of pipeline opening and plugging operations, we need to follow the operating procedures in practical operations and abide by the following rules:
1. Do a good job of risk analysis: The working environment of pipeline pressure plugging is harsh, the space is small, the labor intensity is high, and there are many risk factors and high risks in the operation. Burns, suffocation, poisoning, and other personal and equipment accidents may occur. Operators should analyze the possible risks and consequences based on the medium, pressure, temperature and on-site working environment of the leaking equipment, and write a practical construction plan.
2. Safety supervision: The safety management department should conduct strict inspection, analysis and evaluation of the construction plan, fill in the safety measures requirements in the "High-risk Operation Industrial Safety License", and implement it after approval.
3. Before construction, the pipe fittings welded to the pipeline and the valves, hole opening machines and other components assembled to the pipeline should be tested for overall pressure. The test pressure shall not exceed the pressure in the pipe during operation.
4. During the operation, if the upper equipment between the splints needs to be disassembled, the gas pressure in the guest cavity should be released first.
5. Before the splints are opened, the pressure on both sides of the gate should be balanced.
6. Before removing the plugging head, the pressure on both sides of the plugging head should be balanced.
7. After the pipeline opening and plugging operation, it should be confirmed that there is no leakage in the pipe fittings, and the pipe fittings and pipelines should be insulated and anti-corrosion, and the anti-corrosion layer grade should not be lower than the original pipeline anti-corrosion layer grade.
